What to plant, month by month
Compare each month in London, Mumbai and Tauranga, then find your own town. Each example uses its local climate record. A month name alone cannot choose the right growing season for your garden.

The same month, different growing conditions
Moving a planting list six months across the equator is too simple. A tropical wet season, an inland frost pocket and a mild coastal winter have different constraints. Elevation and rainfall matter alongside latitude.
London and Mumbai are both north of the equator. Comparing their own records shows why one northern-hemisphere frost date would be misleading. Tauranga is a southern example, not a representative of all southern gardens.
Use months to organise work, then check the date
Choose a crop and place. Compare cautious, balanced and early settings. Read the operation beside the window: sowing indoors differs from moving a seedling outside. Check the forecast, soil and variety instructions.
In frost-free places, temperature may identify a possible season, but cannot establish that rainfall, day length or chill are suitable. A window is a starting point, not a promise of flowering or harvest.
